Confession
Jul 19, 2026 • Matt Santen
David's prayer in Psalm 51 shows us what real repentance looks like. After his sin with Bathsheba, he doesn't make excuses, hide his failure, or try to earn God's forgiveness—he honestly confesses his sin and throws himself on God's mercy. This message reminds us that confession isn't about carrying guilt or trying harder to be better; it's about agreeing with God about our sin and trusting His steadfast love to forgive, restore, and renew us. When we bring our failures into the light, God creates a clean heart within us, restores the joy of our salvation, and draws us back into a healthy relationship with Him.
