A Better Hope

This sermon explores how Jesus fulfills and surpasses the ancient priesthood through the mysterious figure of Melchizedek. Using Hebrews 7, it shows that while the old way of the law and Levitical priests was temporary and imperfect, Jesus has become our eternal High Priest—perfect, indestructible, and full of mercy. Through His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus mediates a new covenant that brings complete forgiveness and lasting peace. We are no longer bound by guilt or the endless cycle of striving; instead, we rest in the finished work of Christ, our Redeemer and King of righteousness and peace. Because of Him, our debt is paid, our identity is renewed, and our hope is secure forever.
